Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is a famous American actor and producer. She has gained recognition for her stellar roles in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano, and The Incredibles. The actress has received many awards for her performance, including an Oscar. At a young age she began performing on stage in a number of Broadway or Off-Broadway productions. Since her childhood she's been passionate about performing. She portrayed Helen Keller as a fifth-grade student in a school play. The fifth grade was the year that due to mumps, she lost hearing in the left ear. However, she did not allow that to stop her. When she was in college studying drama and moving in New York City with her goals to achieve them. She was introduced to Beth Henley in an elevator and they worked together in Broadway Crimes of the Heart the first movie Hunter made. After that, she relocated to Los Angeles and tried to find film roles. For Swing Shift, she landed the role of a back-up. Over the past three decades, since her time in Los Angeles, Holly Hunter has been featured in a variety of TV shows and movies. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and she also received the Women in Film Lucy Award.
